Job summary

Digital Prospectors is seeking a Cloud Engineer - Network to lead complex networking initiatives across on-prem and AWS environments. You will align devices to NIST 800-53 controls, implement Terraform-based infrastructure, and drive security, monitoring, and operations across WAN/LAN.

The role requires seven+ years of experience, strong firewall and VPN expertise, and ability to manage multi-vendor relationships. On-site work in New Hampshire may be required.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of experience supporting network infrastructure in 24x7 environments.
• Experience designing and supporting next-generation firewalls; Palo Alto preferred.
• Experience with VPN, site-to-site connectivity, and cloud/network security practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex network and telecom architecture projects.
• Troubleshoot network issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
• Configure and manage firewalls with site-to-site VPN connections.
• Design network segmentation and micro-segmentation in virtual and cloud environments.
• Deploy and monitor wireless infrastructure for laptops and mobile devices.
• Manage vendor connections and external network services securely.
• Oversee load balancers and web application firewall technologies to ensure availability and security.
• Develop network monitoring, alerting, and performance reporting.
• Schedule backups, maintenance, and security patching.
• Maintain thorough network documentation and hand off knowledge to peers.
• Lead new network initiatives and coordinate projects end-to-end.
• Improve networking processes, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with security to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support AWS cloud migration activities with cloud engineering teams.
• Forecast resource needs and advise on budgets.
• Evaluate hardware, software, and service purchases with vendors.
