Job summary

BeyondTrust, Inc. is looking for a Cloud Network Engineer to extend on-prem networking into AWS with a FedRAMP-aligned focus. You will design and operate hybrid networks and serve as the primary liaison between Network and Cloud Ops.

You will mentor staff, develop IaC with Terraform, Ansible and Python, and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, while maintaining diagrams and vendor relationships across global environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of network administration/engineering experience, with 2+ years hands-on AWS cloud networking.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud networking design and operations.
• Proficiency with Cisco NX-OS/IOS/IOS-XE, Dell, and Palo Alto equipment.
• Experience implementing security controls aligned with ISO 27001, SOC2, and FedRAMP.
• Strong documentation and runbook creation to support audits.
• Excellent cross-team communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain on-prem and cloud network infrastructure end-to-end across hybrid environments.
• Design and implement AWS network architectures (VPCs, Transit Gateway, VPN, Direct Connect).
• Lead CIDR range overlap remediation and re-IP projects with minimal disruption.
• Serve as liaison between Network and Cloud Ops on design and incident coordination.
• Mentor engineers on cloud networking fundamentals and hybrid connectivity best practices.
• Develop and maintain IaC and automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and resolve Tier-1/Tier-2 issues.
• Maintain network diagrams, IPAM records, architecture docs, and SOPs.
• Manage vendor relationships for cloud connectivity and circuit providers.
