Job summary

Citrus County Government seeks a seasoned Network Administrator to lead the Network Operations Section in Lecanto, FL. The role manages county networking, servers, storage, and virtualization, coordinating with constitutional offices and the Security Team to implement IT security measures.

The position is full-time and in-person, with typical hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 8 years of lead networking experience, plus relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management of information systems, computer science or closely related field, plus four years of relevant experience or 8 years in a lead Network Engineer role.
• Major networking certification required; security certs desirable.
• FEMA NIMS certifications recommended and must obtain within 90 days of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, plans, and coordinates work of assigned staff and evaluates performance.
• Designs, implements, and administers the county network environment and storage.
• Oversees network operations, interconnectivity between offices, and cloud/virtualization planning.
