Job summary

The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a skilled Network Administrator to lead the County’s network and server infrastructure from Lecanto, Florida. This working management position oversees switching, routing, VLANs, storage, and virtualization, coordinating with the CIO and staff to deliver secure, reliable IT services.

In this role you will supervise staff, manage budgets, and drive IT projects in a full-time, in-person capacity, typically Monday–Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of college plus four years of relevant IT experience
• Or 8 years verifiable lead Network Engineer experience
• Major networking certification required
• Must have Florida Driver License or obtain within 30 days of residency
• Security certifications are desirable
• Must obtain FEMA NIMS certifications within 90 days: IS-100.c, IS-200.b, IS-700.b, IS-800.c

Responsibilities

• Oversee network operations including switching, routing, VLANs, and interconnectivity between county offices.
• Design, implement, and administer the overall network environment.
• Manage leased networks and storage implementation; oversee virtualization infrastructure and planning.
• Provide information for public records and coordinate security with the IT Security Team.
• Develop operational and forecast budgets for County IT network operations.
