Job summary

NationsBenefits in Plantation, FL is seeking a Lead Network Administrator to own and optimize our enterprise network. This hands-on role leads a small team, guiding LAN/WAN design, routing, switching, VPN, and security, while ensuring reliable connectivity and robust documentation.

You will collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, and Cybersecurity teams to strengthen network resilience and drive improvements in performance and security in a dynamic technology environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Network Administration/Engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and VPNs.
• Enterprise firewall and network security experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with network monitoring tools.
• Cloud networking experience with AWS and/or Azure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure.
• Manage and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VPN, wireless, and network security.
• Configure and support Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and related technologies.
• Troubleshoot complex network performance and connectivity issues.
• Support network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and IT teams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network team members.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, standards, and procedures.
