Job summary

VT Group (VTG) seeks a Lead Network Engineer to support on-site at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. You will lead the design and implementation of enterprise LAN/WAN, intranet, extranet, and data communications networks with DoD-aligned security and reliability.

You will serve as technical lead on project teams, coordinate with government stakeholders, and develop documentation and technical reports for government delivery, while ensuring availability during core hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree
• 10+ years of experience as a Lead Engineer or leading projects of similar scope and complexity
• Meets DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification requirements
• One or more of the following certifications: CCIE, CCDE, Government-approved vendor equivalent

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise network solutions (LAN/WAN/intranet/extranet)
• Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning for Army modernization efforts
• Design and integrate network security measures aligned with DoD standards
• Evaluate and integrate network hardware/software for performance and reliability
• Serve as technical lead on project teams and coordinate planning/scheduling/execution
• Develop and deliver project documentation and technical reports for the Government
• Support IT integration to improve system effectiveness across the enterprise
• Maintain on-site operations at Fort Belvoir during core hours (0900–1500)
