Job summary

Meta is seeking a Network Deployment & Support Engineering lead to plan and execute deployments and migrations for Meta's AI network infrastructure. You will own deployment planning, implementation, and scaling across edge, backbone, and data center environments.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, hands-on contribution, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure reliability, performance, and growth. Travel up to 30% and partnerships with vendors are involved.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Network Engineering experience with hands-on deployment and migration.
• Experience with enterprise and carrier-class routing, switching, and optical transport.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience interacting with vendors and external parties to drive projects to completion.
• Knowledge of data center design and operational best practices.
• Experience leading network deployment and migration projects.
• Experience with responsible AI practices and scripting languages.
• Experience in data center, edge, or large-scale network environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy, architecture, and execution for deployment projects.
• Provide hands-on contributions in design, deployment, migration, troubleshooting, and reviews.
• Build six-month to multi-year roadmaps aligning with business growth and transformation.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance across all deliverables.
• Collaborate across Network Engineering, Data Center, Edge, and Planning teams.
• Deploy, migrate, and support our global production network including edge, backbone, and data center infrastructure.
• Manage key vendor relationships including contract negotiations and evaluations.
• Mentor and onboard new team members, raising the team’s technical acumen.
• Demonstrate leadership and drive collaboration within the team and organization.
• Travel 10% to 30%.
