Job summary

Meta is seeking an Optical Network Deployment & Support Engineer to drive planning and execution of large‑scale network deployments for Meta's AI‑driven infrastructure.

You will lead deployment activities, contribute design and troubleshooting efforts, and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure successful delivery. Expect mentorship responsibilities and travel as required, with a strong emphasis on reliability and scalable networking.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Network Engineering, including hands‑on responsibility for planning, building, deployment or migrating production network environments.
• 3+ years experience working in Optical Network Engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise and carrier class routing, switching, and optical transport platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical deployment, architecture, and execution for ENS projects within Edge Network Services on network deployment.
• Provide hands‑on design, deployment, migrate, code reviews, troubleshooting on large scale programs.
• Contribute to six‑month to multi‑year roadmaps to support growth and transformation.
• Apply reliability, scalability, and performance standards to deliverables and drive engineering quality.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally across Network Engineering, Data Center, and Planning teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Deploy, migrate and support global production network including edge, backbone, and data center infra.
• Mentor and onboard new team members; travel 10%–30%.
