Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning and maintenance testing on high voltage power systems. Expect regional/national travel up to 75% and a compensation up to $110/hour.

The role requires staying current with NETA MTS/ATS standards, mentoring junior technicians, and leading cross-discipline teams on complex projects. A strong safety mindset and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500 kV.
• Conduct power system studies: short circuit, coordination, arc flash, power quality.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor).
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and serve as technical lead on projects.
