Job summary
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, Inc. is seeking a Lead Developer to design, develop, test, and deploy secure, scalable applications supporting complex business processes.
You will translate user stories into concrete technical solutions while enhancing existing apps for performance and reliability in an Agile/Scrum setting. The position offers flexible work arrangements (remote, hybrid or onsite) per our Telecommuting Policy.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of application development experience.
- Microsoft .Net framework (C#/VB/ASP) and related technologies (WPF, MVC, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, RDLC, NuGet, WinForms, SQL, SSRS/SSIS, IIS, GitLab, XML, JSON, PowerShell).
- PMP and Agile training a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and secure applications.
- Translate user stories and business needs into technical specs and tasks.
- Improve existing applications for performance, stability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA, and other developers in an Agile/Scrum team.
- Lead debugging and resolve complex performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure high-quality code through unit testing and peer reviews.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and design discussions.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and stay current with emerging technologies.
