BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking a Senior Team Lead for Applications Development to guide a team within an assigned area, delivering Work Requests, Projects and ad-hoc tasks. Hybrid schedule in Columbia, SC with on-call rotation and travel between buildings as needed.

The role requires deep technical proficiency across mainframe and web development, strong leadership, and ability to align solutions with IT strategy while mentoring junior contributors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4 additional years of job-related work experience.
• 6 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.
• Strong understanding of applications/development, QA and integration methodologies across mainframe, midrange, web and PC/LAN environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical direction to a team for delivering Work Requests, Projects and ad-hoc assignments.
• Analyze, design, code, test, implement and maintain complex application software.
• Ensure solutions align with IT strategies and architectural standards; mentor junior team members.
