Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • Minimum 10 years in .NET and enterprise integration, with technical lead experience.
  • Experience with low-code platforms (Appian).
  • Experience with API-led connectivity and ESB/MuleSoft.
  • Able to manage portfolios of custom, SaaS, low-code, and COTS apps.
  • Familiar with ITSM processes (ServiceNow) and operational metrics.

Job Description

We are looking for a Lead .NET Developer to provide technical leadership for a portfolio of applications, overseeing teams, incident resolution, automation initiatives, and service improvements while aligning technology operations with business goals. This position will be full-time and hybrid in Austin, TX.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the architectural design and integration of .Net applications across the portfolio ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, high-performing, and aligned with business and technology roadmaps
  • Provide advanced Level 3 technical support and serve as primary escalation contact for complex application issues and critical incidents
  • Oversee day-to-day application operations, incident management, and service delivery activities, ensuring compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs)
  • Establish and enforce development standards, architectural design review, and coding best practices to ensure consistency, maintainability, and quality for system updates and releases
  • Define and maintain application lifecycle management processes, including development, testing, deployment, change management, and production support activities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying technical debt and process inefficiencies, developing and executing remediation plans
  • Develop, track, and report on key technical and operational metrics, including incident trends, ticket resolution times, system availability, root-cause analysis findings, and service performance indicators
  • Manage technical work assignments and resource allocation, prioritizing workloads, balancing team capacity, and ensuring successful delivery of project and operational commitments
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, engineers, and support analysts, fostering knowledge sharing, professional development, and a culture of technical excellence
  • Promote a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment focused on innovation, continuous learning, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Proven experience supporting government agencies or public sector entities, including navigating complex stakeholder environments and compliance-driven processes
  • Minimum 10 years of demonstrated expertise in .NET application development and enterprise integration with demonstrated experience performing in a technical lead role on large application development or managed services engagement
  • Experience working with low-code application platforms, preferably Appian
  • Hands-on knowledge of integration architecture and patterns including API-led connectivity and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) platforms, with experience supporting solutions such as MuleSoft or similar technologies
  • Proven ability to manage and support complex application portfolios comprising custom-developed systems, SaaS platforms, low-code solutions, and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM processes and best practices, including incident management, problem management, change management, service request fulfillment, and service catalog administration
  • Experience overseeing application health and operational performance through monitoring, observability, and alerting tools, with the ability to leverage data and metrics to improve service reliability and operational outcomes
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with experience resolving complex technical issues and driving root-cause analysis efforts in production environments.
  • Ability to assess business requirements and translate them into technical architecture and solution approaches
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused recommendations and build trusted relationships across technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred
  • Experience supporting GIS or engineering platforms like Bentley, ArcGIS, and AASHTOWare
  • Experience with the Salesforce platform, including its use as a system of record for case management and licensing
  • PeopleSoft COTS application
  • SailPoint IAM management
  • PowerBuilder experience

Salary Range

$175,000 - $185,000 per year

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
