Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time NEPA / Environmental Project Manager to lead our Midwest Region team in Kansas City, Missouri. The role emphasizes managing NEPA and environmental projects from scope through final deliverables, with opportunities to scale by experience.

You will oversee proposal prep, client coordination, schedules, budgets, and supervision of staff, while authoring NEPA documentation and collaborating with engineers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 7–12+ years’ experience managing environmental projects under NEPA and related regulations.
• BA/BS in Environmental Sciences or related field; advanced degrees welcomed.
• Knowledge of federal grants, policies, and procedures.
• Experience authoring NEPA documents (EIS, EA, CE) and related reports.
• Coordination with regulatory agencies (USFWS, USACE).
• Expertise in environmental disciplines (biology, wetlands, air quality, etc.).
• Experience with DoD, USACE, DOE contracts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and NEPA document preparation and oversight.
• Serve as project manager for NEPA/environmental projects; ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Collaborate on environmental documentation including EISs, EAs, and CEs.
• Support marketing, proposal prep, and environmental analysis efforts.
• Coordinate with engineering staff and build client relationships regionally.
