Job summary

Lochmueller Group in Overland Park, KS is seeking an experienced environmental scientist and project manager to lead environmental projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and support growth of our Kansas City region.

The role combines technical NEPA planning, regulatory compliance, client liaison, and mentorship of junior staff, with opportunities to shape project scopes, budgets, and schedules while upholding our CARDIA values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Typically 10+ years of environmental documentation or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEPA regulations and multi‑disciplinary project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Environmental Project Management: manage scopes, budgets, and schedules with a technical lead role.
• Business Development & Regional Growth: support growth of environmental services in the KC region.
• Client, Agency, and Public Coordination: coordinate with clients and regulators and conduct public meetings.
• Environmental Planning, Documentation & Analysis: oversee NEPA documents and coordination with design teams.
• Permitting, Mitigation & Compliance: ensure regulatory compliance and safety.
• Mentorship & Team Development: guide junior staff and share technical knowledge.
