Job summary

Southern Company is seeking an experienced NDE lead to coordinate and oversee inspections at plant sites, ensuring safety and reliability of boilers, turbines, and balance of plant equipment.

You will develop inspection procedures, provide technical direction, and supervise overall inspection activities while maintaining NDE certifications. A strong knowledge of ASME/NDE codes and Level II/III qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Industrial site experience is required.
• Knowledge of power plant sites and maintenance work is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership assignments a plus.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee inspections on plant equipment including boilers, turbines, and balance of plant systems.
• Develop inspection procedures, certification protocols, and provide technical direction.
• Supervise inspection activities and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Apply knowledge of NDE methods and maintain certification requirements.
