Job summary

Talen Energy is seeking a Nuclear NDE Inspector to plan and perform inspections to verify conformance with plant procedures, specifications, and drawings, and to ensure compliance with ASME/ASTM codes.

You will work weekends/irregular hours, participate in audits, and interact with vendors and third parties. Requires Level II MT/PT/VT/RT/UT certification and at least two years of nuclear plant experience, with strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have 2+ years of Nuclear Power Plant experience.
• Nondestructive Examination (NDE) certification (MT, PT, VT, RT, UT).
• Ability to certify Level II MT, PT and Visual Weld per ANSI/ASNT CP-189.

Responsibilities

• Verify modification and maintenance activities are performed per approved plant procedures, specs, and drawings.
• Perform Nondestructive Testing/Examinations (NDE) to ensure codes and standards are met.
• Inspect materials for compliance with Procurement Documents and station standards.
• Work weekends, backshifts, and other irregular hours as required.
• Represent Quality Assurance with site work groups in a professional manner.
• Participate in audits and vendor visits as source inspector.
• Interact with third party organizations such as INPO, NRC or vendors.
