Job summary

Southern Company is seeking a senior NDE inspections lead to coordinate and supervise non-destructive examination activities across generation sites. This role requires planning, quality control, and adherence to ASME/NDE standards while ensuring safe, reliable operation of power plant equipment.

The position emphasizes in-depth NDE knowledge, multiple-method Level II certifications, and strong communication to collaborate with maintenance teams and site personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Industrial site experience is required.
• Knowledge of power plant sites and maintenance work is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership assignments a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee inspections on plant equipment including boilers, turbines, cooling systems and related components.
• Develop inspection procedures and certification protocols; provide technical direction.
• Possess knowledge of NDE methods and have Level II certifications in four or more methods.
