Job summary

Southern Company Services is seeking an NDE Technician to lead and coordinate non-destructive examination activities across generation sites. The role requires planning, execution, and quality control of NDE work for boilers, turbines, and associated systems, with travel to various sites as needed.

You will ensure compliance with ASME/NDE codes, maintain Level II certifications, and contribute to safety and reliability of generation equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Industrial site experience is required.
• Knowledge of power plant sites and maintenance work is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership assignments a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee inspections on plant equipment including boilers, turbines, cooling towers, pumps and fans.
• Develop inspection procedures and certification protocols, provide technical direction and supervision.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of NDE methods and ensure level II NDE certifications in four or more methods.
