This is a seasonal role, active during peak heat periods from May to October, with potential for continued employment if suitable roles become available within the agency. The Lead Navigator is an individual in recovery from AOD use or GMH for at least one year and has at least 90 days experience as a Navigator or Peer Support Specialist. The primary role involves working with individuals who are homeless, providing outreach and supportive services to help them end homelessness. The Lead Navigator coordinates and monitors behavioral health and non‑RBHA community‑based services, facilitates delivery of these services, and mentors Navigator II staff. It requires outreach, engagement, case management, and ongoing wrap‑around support for individuals with high acuity and vulnerability.
In this role you will be on the front lines of delivering lifesaving support to vulnerable populations affected by extreme heat. You will collaborate with community members, local service providers, and internal teams to distribute resources, share information, and connect people in need with appropriate services. This position requires a strong commitment to community engagement, empathy, and responsiveness to urgent needs.
