Job summary

Eaton Bussmann Division is seeking a Lead Design Engineer (Electrical) in Ellisville, MO. The role is hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) and reports to the Engineering Manager.

You will lead technical decisions for fuse products, guide complex development, and ensure alignment with reliability and quality goals across global teams. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical or related engineering, at least 3 years of electrical product development experience, and knowledge of DC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and at least 3 years of engineering experience in electrical product development.
• Knowledge of DC and/or MV (medium voltage) products and systems.
• Eligible to work in the US without immigration sponsorship (no CPT/OPT/STEM-OPT etc.).
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead and design authority for assigned fuse product families, owning engineering decisions and change control.
• Lead development and evolution of advanced fuse technologies for data center, grid, and power conversion applications.
• Plan and execute complex new product development from concept through launch, balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, risk, and schedule.
• Define materials, processes, manufacturing strategies, and verification/validation plans for global manufacturability and quality.
