Job summary

Fuse Energy, LLC is hiring a senior electrical engineer to lead grid interconnection design for utility-scale solar, BESS and data centre power projects in the US. You will own electrical designs from development through commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, compliance and performance.

We seek 5–10+ years in power, utilities or renewables with strong HV background, capable of delivering substation and protection schemes and coordinating with procurement and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 5–10+ years of electrical engineering experience in power, utilities, renewables, or critical infrastructure.
• Strong preference for substantial HV experience and US standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Act as electrical SME across grid, solar, BESS and data centre projects; produce and own electrical designs across the portfolio.
• Deliver detailed design across substations, transformers, switchgear, protection and power distribution.
• Develop design packages from concept through detailed design: single-line diagrams, equipment specs, protection schemes, cable sizing, earthing and bonding.
• Support grid interconnection works (export and demand); ensure NEC/IEEE compliance and validate studies (fault level, load flow, protection).
• Provide electrical input from development through handover; align design with procurement and construction; resolve technical queries.
• Support commissioning, energisation and testing; troubleshoot issues and ensure as-builts comply with approved designs.
