Job summary

LEMOINE is seeking a Municipal Superintendent to oversee daily field operations on municipal and public works construction projects. You will lead underground utilities, drainage, roadway construction, and site development to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of municipal/heavy civil construction experience leading field operations.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to regional project sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for municipal infrastructure projects including wastewater treatment plants, sewer systems, drainage improvements, lift stations, and underground utility installations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, crews, equipment, and material deliveries to maintain project productivity, safety, and schedule performance.
• Review civil drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure work is completed according to plans and municipal standards.
• Supervise installation of sanitary sewer, storm drainage, water utilities, force mains, concrete structures, and related civil infrastructure.
• Lead daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations, trench safety requirements, and site-specific safety procedures.
• Monitor project schedules and proactively address field challenges to maintain construction timelines and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate daily reports including manpower, equipment usage, production tracking, inspections, and site progress documentation.
• Coordinate inspections, utility tie-ins, testing, and project activities with municipalities, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, environmental regulations, and client expectations.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with project teams, trade partners, municipal representatives, and clients.
