Job summary

City of Sandy Springs is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead municipal facility projects from planning through closeout. You will act as the City’s owner’s representative, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and City staff to deliver projects on time, within budget, and per approved plans.

You will oversee budgets, schedules, safety, and procurement while ensuring constructability and value engineering opportunities are identified.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
• Six (6) years of experience in construction program management or a related field.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and project management for facility-related construction projects on behalf of the City.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, City departments, and other project stakeholders.
• Assist with the selection and prequalification of architects, professional service providers, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Assist with developing requests for proposals, requests for quotations, bid documents, and other procurement materials.
• Review design drawings for constructability, value engineering opportunities, change orders, and schedule impacts.
• Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure projects remain aligned with established plans.
