Job summary

The City of Sandy Springs is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead municipal facility project delivery from planning through closeout. You will act as City’s representative and coordinate with staff, architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.

The role requires strong project management, communication, and analytical abilities, with a focus on safety and efficient collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
• Six (6) years of experience in construction program management or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license and be able to operate City-issued vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and project management for facility-related construction projects on behalf of the City.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, City departments, and other stakeholders.
• Assist with the selection and prequalification of architects, professional service providers, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure alignment with plans.
• Review design drawings for constructability and schedule impacts.
• Attend design and construction meetings and provide updates to City Management.
• Lead project closeout and commissioning activities and maintain organized project records.
