Job summary

The Finger Companies is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for The Bordeaux in Houston, TX. You will supervise maintenance staff, perform repairs, and run preventative maintenance to keep apartment facilities in top condition.

You will lead a team, respond to resident requests, ensure safety compliance, and participate in on-call nights and weekends. A Universal EPA Certification and strong HVAC, electrical, and plumbing knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Lead Maintenance Technician experience in multifamily properties.
• On‑call rotation for nights/weekends is required.
• Universal EPA Certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities and staff schedules.
• Perform routine inspections to identify issues and required repairs.
• Complete work orders for repairs and maintenance in a timely manner.
• Lead preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests and completed work.
• Respond to resident requests and concerns with professionalism and urgency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in training and mentoring maintenance team members.
