Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for multifamily construction in California. The role supports the Site Superintendent across daily operations on an active jobsite, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring adherence to plans and schedules.

Expect a base salary of $85,000 to $120,000 per year, with a project completion bonus potential, housing allowance, a gas card, and 100% company-paid health benefits for employees. Prior large multifamily experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial construction experience at a General Contractor.
• Prior experience with 200+ unit ground-up multifamily and mixed-use projects (including podium).
• General knowledge of construction principles/processes required.
• Experience building relationships with owners and managing field staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Superintendent in the daily operations of an active jobsite.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Monitor site safety and quality control, conducting regular inspections.
• Assist with project scheduling and tracking progress against timelines.
• Manage material deliveries and site logistics.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA‑compliant jobsite.
• Assist with inspections and documentation for local authorities and project managers.
• Identify and help resolve field‑level construction issues.
• Foster communication between field personnel, project management, and inspectors.
