Job summary

Akumin Inc. seeks a Lead MRI Tech for our Danbury facility. The role focuses on delivering high-quality MRI scans, mentoring new staff, and maintaining clinical competencies across the team.

You will support daily operations and protocol development to ensure patient-centered imaging services. The ideal candidate has ARRT MR certification, a valid state license where applicable, and a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• ARRT MR certification or ARMRIT as allowed by contract.
• State license as required; CPR certification (BLS) mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years MRI technologist experience; able to travel within locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical MRI scans with high accuracy and quality.
• Train new hires and conduct ongoing competency reviews.
• Assist with day-to-day unit operations and workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate with team and radiology staff on protocols and optimization.
