Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Lead MRI Technologist to oversee daily MRI operations, perform diagnostic imaging, and ensure quality of examinations.

You will mentor staff, provide guidance and training to technologists, uphold safety and regulatory standards, and collaborate with physicians to optimize imaging workflows in a busy radiology department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certificate or degree from an accredited Radiography or MRI program.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in modality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

The Lead MRI Technologist is responsible for day-to-day technical operation of the MRI Department and for performing diagnostic radiographic examinations. This position requires moderate independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative as well as providing guidance and training to technologists in order to maximize their development and growth.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• Certificate of Completion/Degree from an accredited Radiography or MRI programs.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in modality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT, MR) or ARMRIT
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position
