UVA Health Outpatient Imaging Culpeper is seeking an experienced Lead MRI Technologist to join our Culpeper, VA team. This leadership role combines hands-on MRI expertise with team coordination to maintain safety, image quality, and patient experience.

The Lead will oversee daily MRI workflow, mentor technologists, assist with staffing and training, and collaborate with radiologists and physicians. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as an MRI Technologist
• Must have an associate's degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
• MR advanced registration through ARRT or ARMIT required upon hire for IDTF centers; other centers require MR advanced registry within 12 months.
• Must meet state licensure requirements for the practicing state.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 3 years' experience as an MRI Technologist

EDUCATION:

• Must have a minimum associate's degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography, or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) and maintain current valid registration from ARRT or ARMIT. MR advanced registration through ARRT or ARMIT is required upon hire for IDTF centers. Non-IDTF centers require MR advanced registry within the first 12 months of employment. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols.
• Skill in operation of MRI equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
• Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
