Join to apply for the Lead MRI Technologist role at UPMC.

UPMC Mercy is seeking a full-time Lead MRI Technologist to join their team in Downtown Pittsburgh.

We are offering a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment or a $30,000 sign-on bonus with a 3-year commitment to eligible hires.

This position involves four 10-hour shifts, with hours varying across daylight, evening, and night shifts. The role requires weekend and holiday availability but does not include on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Performs all Level II MRI Technologist duties, maintains MR safety, ensures patient safety, and documents patient information.
• Leads orientation and training for new hires and students, ensuring timely competency completion.
• Provides remediation to technologists when necessary.
• Participates in quality assurance projects and develops exam protocols, communicating results to leadership.
• Coordinates daily workflow and staffing based on various operational needs.
• Assumes leadership in the supervisor's absence.
• Participates in talent acquisition and provides feedback during performance reviews.
• Requires formal MRI-related training from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 3 years MRI experience.
• Performance reviews must reflect a minimum of strong or solid performance.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• ARRT or ARMRIT MR Certification required.
• CPR or BLS certification required, with CPR based on AHA standards within 30 days of hire.
• Additional certifications include ARRT, ARMRIT, NMTC, or RDMS.
• Clearances include Act 31, 33, 34, and FBI clearance.
