UPMC Shadyside is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join the team, supporting both Shadyside main department & Hillman Cancer Center. Offering a variety of shifts including 3 13-hour Daylight/Evening shifts between 6:30am - 8pm or 10am - 11:30pm, or 5 8-hour shifts between 7am - 3:30pm or 3pm - 11:30pm, with rotating weekend and holiday call responsibilities. Responsibilities:

• Perform all job responsibilities of Level II MRI Advanced Technologist, including maintaining MR safety, addressing patient safety, proper patient identification, labeling/preparation/administration of contrast, communication according to SOPs, completing procedures per protocol, and updating patient information.
• Lead orientation and training for new hires, students, and other medical personnel, ensuring competencies are completed timely.
• Assist with quality assurance projects and develop exam protocols, communicating results to departmental leadership.
• Coordinate daily workflow and staffing based on call-offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.
• Assume leadership in the absence of the supervisor.
• Participate in talent acquisition interviews and provide feedback for performance reviews.
• Complete formal training in an MRI-related program accredited by ARRT, ARMRIT, CNMT, or ARDMS.
• Require at least 3 years of MRI experience.
• Performance review should be at least 'strong' or 'solid' based on the last review.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• ARRT or ARMRIT MR Certification required.
• CPR or BLS certification required, with compliance within 30 days of hire.
• Additional certifications such as NMTC or RDMS are preferred.
