FSU Libraries in Tallahassee, FL, seeks an experienced faculty librarian to lead monographic and foreign language cataloging operations. You will supervise two full-time catalogers, develop workflows, ensure metadata quality, and train staff across MARC 21 standards and authority control.

The role explores AI-assisted approaches to translation and transliteration for non-Roman scripts, collaborates on system-wide changes, and contributes to professional service and research.

Qualifikationen

• MLS/MLIS degree from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent.
• At least one year of cataloging experience using MARC 21 and applying standards such as RDA, NACO, LCC, PCC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative and adaptability.
• Ability to plan and coordinate projects, provide guidance, and work independently or collaboratively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.

• Leads monographic cataloging operations, including metadata creation, editing, analysis, and quality control.
• Develops and implements cataloging workflows; remediates metadata quality issues.
• Applies cataloging standards and coordinates with colleagues on changes.
