Stanley Black & Decker in Towson, MD, is seeking a Principal Model Based Design Engineer to lead design, modeling, and validation of advanced control systems using MATLAB/Simulink. This hybrid role requires onsite presence three days per week and offers collaboration across global business units.

You will guide MIL/SIL/HIL testing, develop embedded software, mentor engineers, and work with cross-functional teams to drive innovations for tools and outdoor brands.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Control Systems, or a related field (PhD preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in control systems development, with significant expertise in model-based design.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development methodologies.
• Proven experience with various control methods (i.e. PID, MIMO, Non-Linear, MPC).
• Experience with MIL, SIL, and HIL testing environments.
• Experience with field-oriented control methods for brushless motor control highly preferred.
• Strong background in embedded software development and system integration a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
