Job summary

Superior Aluminum Alloys is seeking a skilled mobile mechanic to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline equipment. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills and the ability to lead safety initiatives.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, diagnosing malfunctions, installing ignition systems, replacing transmissions, overhauling engines, inspecting safety devices, performing preventative maintenance, and handling parts requisitions with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 3 years of mobile mechanic experience.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Engage in “Take control of Safety” initiatives
• Read job orders and observe/listen to equipment to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures
• Install new ignition systems, align wheels, change or recharge batteries, and replace transmissions and other parts
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines
• Inspect protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and make adjustments
• Lubricate lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to blueprints or schematic drawings
• Perform preventative maintenance as designated on mobile equipment
• Fill out purchase requisitions for parts to be ordered
