Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A in North Charleston, SC, to repair and maintain diesel and non‑diesel trucks and equipment. You’ll work on chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, engines, HVAC, and diagnostics, with ongoing training and career growth.

The role requires strong multi‑system diagnostic skills, 5–7 years of experience, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience repairing heavy‑duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi‑system issues and perform complex repairs.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair engines, braking systems, suspensions, drivetrains and HVAC.
• Perform diagnostics with scan tools and on‑vehicle testing.
• Complete company training programs and adhere to safety and quality standards.
