Job summary

Access Services is hiring an Assistant Director of Crisis Intervention for our Mobile Crisis team based out of Plymouth Meeting, PA. This role leads crisis workers, supports the Director, and helps build a high-impact community program.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of crisis experience (or five years in mental health), with supervisory responsibilities and strong leadership, communication, and de-escalation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in human services, behavioral health, psychology or social work.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Two years of direct crisis experience required, or five years in mental health services.
• Two years of increasing supervisory responsibilities required.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, wellness and recovery, and person-centered planning.
• Ability to travel and drive a personal or agency vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management, organizational and daily operational oversight of the Mobile Crisis program.
• Assist with interviews, hiring and training of crisis workers.
• Supervise Crisis Workers on a weekly basis using individual and group supervision methods.
• Ensure compliance with program standards and Access Services policies; maintain regulatory compliance.
• Communicate effectively with leadership and promote a cooperative, caring attitude.
• Conduct telephone counseling and mobile crisis interventions as needed.
