Job summary

Matrix Camps, Logistics & Aviation is seeking an experienced First Cook for a remote mining camp near Winnemucca, NV. You\'ll prepare and serve meals for about 150 residents, upholding high food safety standards and teamwork.

This role offers a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation and requires MSHA, Food Handler, First Aid, and other safety certifications, plus legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• 3 years remote camp kitchen experience.
• Ability to prepare from-scratch meals, including baking and desserts.
• Food Safety / Food Handler certificate (required).
• First Aid / Advanced First Aid certification (required).
• MSHA certification (required).
• Strong knowledge of food safety, storage, and sanitation.
• Ability to lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff.
• Compliance with all mine safety and health requirements (MSHA regulations, PPE, site orientation).
• Reference and criminal record checks.
• Some sites may require pre-access drug screening and/or fitness-for-duty clearance.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
