Qualifications

• Minimum GED or High School diploma.
• Overtime is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team player.
• Familiarity with NC equipment and how information flows from the office to the floor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct morning huddles with staff to set daily direction and goals.
• Update and prepare Gemba and Planner boards for daily walks.
• Own and sign-off on 1st piece and checklists to ensure 100% quality.
• Assist with interviews, reviews, and 30/60/90-day checks for new hires.
• Ensure timely workstation attendance and task completion.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to resolve floor issues.
• Coordinate with Materials and Scheduling to manage parts issues.
• Verify parts leaving the department against drawings.
• Operate and set up production machinery and tooling.
• Interpret process sheets and read measuring instruments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at shift end.
• Communicate with Safety, Quality, and HR to uphold standards.
• Understand softwood and hardwood lumber species and characteristics.
