Job summary

Armstrong World Industries’ Architectural Components Group, Inc. (ACGI) in Marshfield, MO, is seeking a Lay Up Operator for the 1st shift (5:00 am–3:30 pm). You will apply spray adhesive, lay up layers, run the press and trim excess with a router.

This hourly, non-exempt position requires dependability, mechanical aptitude and the ability to read work orders, drawings and SDS. You will support safety and quality, maintain records, and communicate with supervisors to ensure on-time production and

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual and self-motivated.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems.
• Ability to read and follow Work Sheets, Drawings, Routers and Travelers.
• Must read and understand SDS and wear respirator as required.
• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Production needs include customer orders, inventory, samples and prototypes.
• Ensure safety and well-being of self and associates.
• Maintain high attention to detail, accuracy and quality of work.
• Oversee production of layered materials and safe work practices.
• Learn to operate Microperf machine under supervision.
• Communicate key information to Supervisors and Team Leads.
• Start up and shut down machines and conduct preventative maintenance.
• Maintain accurate paperwork for the Layup Department.
