Express Skilled Trades - Kansas City is seeking an experienced Fitter/Welder in Riverside, MO to fabricate, fit, and weld large steel structures and stainless-steel components according to drawings and weld maps.

You will perform torch cutting, beveling, grinding, and pre-fit welding, with emphasis on precision and adherence to safety standards in a heavy industrial environment. Strong blueprint-reading skills and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding experience.
• Strong blueprint-reading skills.
• Proficient in steel fabrication and fitting processes.
• Able to read a tape measure and work with precision.
• English communication; able to pass background and drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Fit and assemble large-scale steel structures per drawings and weld maps.
• Torch cutting, beveling, and grinding for weld prep.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Operate MIG, TIG, and Flux-Cored Arc welding equipment.
• Inspect materials and report defects; maintain safety and productivity standards.
