The Equity Project (TEP) Charter School in New York City is seeking a Middle School Vocal Arts and Theater Teacher to lead daily music periods for grades 5–8, integrating vocal and theatre instruction into a rigorous arts curriculum.

Qualifications

• Deeply aligned to TEP’s mission and serving underserved communities.
• Minimum of 3 years lead teaching in 4th–9th grade in charter/public/private settings.
• Ability to develop and implement a dynamic and engaging math curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.
• Strong verbal ability and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily 45-minute music periods for students in the Vocal Arts track.
• Collaborate with middle school music teachers and grade-level teams to integrate vocal and theater instruction.
• Direct vocal and musical theater performances and prepare students for arts-related auditions.
• Shape a comprehensive middle school vocal program that builds confidence, discipline and artistic expression.
