Job summary

Moses Lake High School is seeking a part-time Coach - Head Middle School Swim & Dive to lead and develop student-athletes in a safe, well-organized program. The role emphasizes coaching skill development, safety practices, and collaboration with the athletics department.

The position requires understanding of WIAA rules, strong supervision abilities, and effective communication with staff, students, and families. Immediate start with season-end activities and June 30 payment schedule.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to carry out duties as directed by Principal/ Athletic Director.
• Knowledge of the sport, technical skills, and coaching experience with youth.
• Valid First Aid and CPR/AED or ability to obtain before season start.
• Meet WIAA age requirements for the role.
• Organizational skills to maintain a well-managed program.
• Bilingual preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Organize, supervise, and evaluate practice sessions.
• Implement a safety plan and teach proper techniques.
• Adhere to safety rules and emergency medical plan.
• Inform parents about attendance, discipline, and injuries.
• Direct student managers and statisticians on teams.
• Schedule and coordinate transportation to events.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in scouting assignments.
• Ensure doors, lights, and locks are secured when leaving the building.
