Job summary

One City Schools, Madison, WI is seeking a Middle School Math Teacher for a full-time, school-year position. You will deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction to grades 5–8, building conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and confidence in problem-solving in a structured, joyful classroom.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and data-informed instruction, communicate with families, and contribute to a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field.
• Valid Wisconsin teaching license or licensure eligibility.
• Experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching.
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach standards-aligned middle school mathematics for grades 5–8.
• Use data and assessments to inform instruction and student growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and instructional improvement.
• Communicate proactively with families and manage a structured classroom.
• Lead teacher and coach role to strengthen math learning organization-wide.
