Job summary

Collins Aerospace is hiring a leader to head the Microelectronics Fabrication team in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will oversee fabrication and testing of microelectronics from raw materials to final product with no third-party processes involved.

The role manages ~20 lab technicians, drives quality and efficiency, and collaborates with engineering. Onsite work 80% on production floor, 20% at desk; hours 7:00am–3:30pm, occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Manufacturing or engineering experience with microelectronics fabrication (plating and lithography) desirable.
• Experience in a clean room environment and coordinating efforts with internal/external facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Microelectronics Fabrication team on all fabrication and testing activities from raw material to final product.
• Lead a team of ~20 lab technicians and manage output and inventory metrics.
• Ensure quality standards and drive cost reduction and process improvements across multiple cells.
