Job summary

Fieldstone Bio in Reno, NV seeks a highly motivated Scientist to join the Assay Team. The role is hands-on and lab-based, focusing on establishing assays to identify metals in mining samples and delivering data to customers.

The successful candidate will lead sample inventory management, execute SOP workflows, and help expand Fieldstone's Reno presence by supporting facility expansions and method optimization. Travel to Woburn, MA is expected.

Qualifications

• PhD in Microbiology, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, or related field is required.
• 1+ years’ of experience with assay execution (industry experience preferred).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Receipt and organization of mining samples.
• Registration of materials for assay execution.
• Execute cell-based assays to screen for metals in mining samples.
• Provide feedback on processes and suggest methodology improvements.
• Prepare assay working materials for weekly needs.
• Collaborate with AI Data Team for data collection and documentation.
• Ensure timely delivery of milestones.
