Albany International Corp. is seeking a Metrology Engineer to develop and maintain dimensional inspection programs for aerospace composite parts. You will interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and work with CMMs, laser trackers, and CAD/software to support production.

The role involves training operations personnel, resolving equipment issues, and driving safety and quality improvements across the manufacturing process.

Formación

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in metrology or related discipline.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles per ASME Y14.5.
• Proficient in electronic dimensional inspection equipment and software.

Responsabilidades

• Develop dimensional inspection programs and documentation for aerospace composite parts and tooling.
• Interpret inspection requirements from engineering drawings to ensure compliance of inspection processes.
• Provide training to operations personnel on inspection equipment and programs.
• Operate inspection equipment for process development, troubleshooting, and engineering requests.
• Promptly troubleshoot inspection process stoppages to minimize downtime.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities relating to safety, quality, and efficiency.
