Job summary

Layup Parts is seeking a Metrology Technician to perform dimensional inspection using 3D scanning and traditional equipment, and to develop reliable inspection methods. You will create, manage, and report inspection data while supporting AS9100 quality processes.

The role emphasizes learning PolyWorks, GD&T, and datum-based alignments, with opportunities to grow into metrology and aerospace quality systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
• Recent engineering graduates encouraged to apply
• Experience with 3D CAD software and interpreting 3D models
• Comfortable reading engineering drawings and applying GD&T
• Strong spatial reasoning and data interpretation
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspection of parts using 3D scanning systems and traditional equipment
• Build PolyWorks inspection projects from CAD models, including alignments and reports
• Develop inspection methods and generate clear inspection reports
• Support AS9100 quality system and First Article inspections
