Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking an experienced MEP Senior Project Manager for a major hyperscale data center project in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will take ownership of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Protection scopes from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.

The role requires leading MEP/FP subcontractors, coordinating with owners, A/E, VDC/BIM, and commissioning teams, and managing submittals, procurement, schedules, testing, and life-safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years MEP/FP experience.
• 5+ years MEP Project Management experience.
• GC experience on data center projects.
• Strong BIM/VDC and multi-trade coordination experience.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE and applicable codes.
• Strong communication and project leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage MEP/FP subcontractors, scopes, contracts and change orders.
• Coordinate with owners, A/E, VDC/BIM, Superintendents and commissioning teams.
• Manage submittals, procurement, equipment deliveries and project schedules.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, inspections and life-safety requirements.
• Drive MEP coordination, field progress and project closeout.
