Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator to prepare detailed estimates for Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical, Technology, and LV systems in Shelton, CT. You will develop take-offs, pricing analyses, and cost studies from conceptual design through construction documents, coordinating with vendors and trade partners to ensure accurate pricing.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of estimating experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical, Technology, and LV systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed ME_P estimates based on design documents, narratives, and specs for MEPTLV systems.
• Perform quantity take-offs, analyses, and studies for assigned scope from conceptual design through construction documents.
• Coordinate with vendors and trade partners to obtain accurate pricing for equipment, materials, and services.
• Develop scope requisitions and manage bid data using Turner system breakdown sheets.
• Lead preconstruction activities and participate in estimate reviews with Design team and client.
• Assist in hand-off to Operations and transfer knowledge from Preconstruction to Operations.
