Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Monroe, LA is seeking an experienced MEP Project Engineer to lead mechanical and electrical activities on a major advanced-technology project. You will work with the project team, subs, and owners’ reps to install systems on schedule, within budget, and to contract documents.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with at least four years of relevant experience and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; you will mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with minimum four years of relevant engineering experience.
• Technical expertise and understanding of mechanical and electrical systems that support diverse project types.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with ability to guide a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team, subcontractors, and owner’s reps to ensure alignment and proper installation of systems.
• Manage contract item lists and ensure ROJ dates align with schedule and approvals.
• Participate in schedule update meetings and provide accurate scheduling data.
• Evaluate and manage RFIs and change orders with cost awareness.
• Co-lead MEP coordination with the VDC Engineer to meet design, operations, and quality standards.
• Oversee turnover, startup, testing, and closeout activities.
